A paramilitary linked group adopts a new flags protocol in east Belfast
Breaking news and hard-hitting talk as Stephen Nolan gets you talking about the big stories of the day.
A UVF linked group in east Belfast has agreed a flags protocol which they say will end the flying of illegal paramilitary flags. The Irish News reports that the East Belfast Community Initiative has said that only legal flags will be flown with a limit placed on how long they will be displayed.
The group says the only UVF flags on display will be historical ones commemorating its role in the first world war.
Plus, Back to a story we brought you yesterday - this programme has spoken to MANY parents who are distressed, after their children were sent letters telling them they have NOT been admitted into their chosen secondary schools.
The principal of a school in Bangor took the unusual step of publishing a letter to parents blaming the lack of an Education Minister for not being able to offer more children places at his school.
Matthew Pitts is head of Bangor Academy. He says he's had to turn away up to 40 families because his request for extra places is falling on deaf ears. Marisa Ross's family is affected by this.
Also, Billy Caldwell became the first person to receive an NHS prescription for medical marijuana in the UK. He was first given the treatment by an epilepsy expert in California and up until that point was having up to 100 seizures a day.
But now his mother, Charlotte, has said that Billy has been handed a death sentence after her Doctor was contacted by the 成人快手 Office and told to stop prescribing the cannabis oil to treat his severe epilepsy. Billy has only three weeks worth left of the drug which has completely stopped the seizures.
And, DUP leader Arlene Foster has described nationalism as "narrow and exclusive"
In a speech in London, Mrs Foster also said unionism stands for pluralism and multi-culturalism.
