Mark and Stuart are joined by Bob Stanley from Saint Etienne to chat about a new compilation he has put together showcasing the work of Robert Kirby.

Mark and Stuart are joined by Bob Stanley of Saint Etienne. Bob formed the band with Sarah Cracknell and Pete Wiggs in 1990 and had a string of hit singles including 'He's on the Phone', 'You're in a Bad Way' and a cover of Neil Young's 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart'. As well as working with Saint Etienne - the band released their latest album '成人快手 Counties' last year - Bob is also a music writer, film producer and prolific record collector. Today he chats to Mark and Stuart about a new compilation he has put together, showcasing the work of Robert Kirby, a British arranger who first worked on the orchestrations for Nick Drake's iconic 'Five Leaves Left' album. He went on to work with many top British folk rock artists and Bob's compilation 'When the Day Is Done: The Orchestrations of Robert Kirby' brings together a selection of his best arrangements.
