Fabulous Finn the Police Dog and World Poetry Day

The Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad look ahead to World Poetry Day with Tony Walsh, and explore our love of dogs with Bishop Jo Bailey Wells, PC Dave Wardell and his dog Finn.

The Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad will be joined in the studio by PC Dave Wardell and his police dog Finn who saved his life during an armed robbery. Dave now continues to spearhead the campaign to instate a law which better protects service animals.

Bishop Jo Bailey Wells will offer a Christian perspective on the significance of dogs and will discuss the importance of our relationships with animals.

Ahead of World Poetry Day on 21st March, Mancunian poet and writer Tony Walsh will talk to Rev Kate and Jason about poetry and the impact his had in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena bomb attack last May.

Plus we meet Brian Bernie this week's Charity Champion. Brian was a multi-millionaire who gave it all away to support his cancer charity, Daft As A Brush, which transports cancer patients to their treatment in the North-East of England.

We'd love to hear about those who are doing something extraordinary for a cause they are passionate about, please get in touch by emailing gms@bbc.co.uk.
