Ruth Jones stars as Mandy Haveez in David Peet's new sitcom set in one of the more lively areas of Cardiff. This week, Mandy decides to get back in the dating game, where a blast from the past seems too good to be true...
Mandy lives in Splott with her recently widowed Dad and her daffy daughter Chertsey; they live down the road from Mandy's twin brother Bryan and Bryan's pretentious wife Patricia (don't call her Trish). She works in the local school canteen with her best friend Katheen - who dropped the 'L' a long time ago.
Passionate, sometimes gung-ho, but ultimately big-hearted, Mandy simply seeks peace, romance and happiness... but none of it seems to come without a fight.
