Joan As Policewoman, David Haig and the Tuesday Review
Joan As Policewoman tells Janice about her new album Damned Devotion, plus David Haig on his play Pressure.
Janice Forsyth chats to Playwright Toria Banks about her play Deeds Not Words which is touring the Hebrides. It's inspired by her discovery that in 1918, four women from St Kilda registered to vote for the first time, in spite of the nearest polling station being 50 miles over the sea.
We also hear from American musician Joan As Policewoman as she tells Janice about her exciting new album Damned Devotion.
David Haig talks about the play Pressure, about Scottish weather forecaster James Stagg, whose work was vital to the success of the D-Day landings.
Plus the Tuesday Review team Fred MacAulay, Paul Whitelaw and Fiona Shepherd review Franz Ferdinand's new album Always Ascending and two big new TV series: Hold the Sunset starring John Cleese and Alison Steadman; and Troy, based on The Iliad, starring David Threlfall and written by David Farr who wrote the Night Manager.
