Independent Venue Week with 成人快手 Music: Liverpool

Steve Lamacq broadcasts from Studio 2 in Liverpool and presents a special show, with 成人快手 Music, to round up Independent Venue Week featuring a live performance from Idles.

Independent Venue Week (IVW) returns for its 5th birthday and, to celebrate, Steve Lamacq has spent the week touring five locations around the UK, shining a light on the alternative music scene in each place and highlighting the grassroots music venues that have become the bedrock of the local area.

Tonight, Steve broadcasts from Studio 2 in Liverpool and presents a special show, with 成人快手 Music, to round up IVW. The show features a live performance from Idles, in front of a live audience. The Bristol 5-piece will be playing a 30 minute set, featuring tracks from their 2017 album Brutalism, which was Steve's Album of the Year pick. There will also be a stripped back session from a local 成人快手 Music Introducing artist and a look back at the venues we've celebrated across the week.

Founded in 2014 as a way to celebrate the heroes that own and run small venues all across the country, Independent Venue Week has grown massively in five years. Starting out with just 17 venues in 2014, it has grown this year with almost 200 venues already signed up. The project will run from Monday 29th January - Sunday 4th February 18.
