Later today the Secretary of State is expected to announce a new phase of "short, intense political talks" to take place next week involving all five main parties in a bid to reach a deal.

Also on the programme, should anti-abortion protests outside clinics used by women who want a termination be banned? A council in West London is close to taking that action. Pro-life campaigners have been accused of "harassing" and "intimidating" women outside the Mattock Lane clinic. Ealing councillors backed the ban in October and now the council's cabinet has voted as part of the next stage in getting the ban enforced. The Good Counsel Network, which holds daily vigils outside the centre in Mattock Lane, denies harassing women. But should a similar ban happen here? Or would that limit free speech and the right to protest?

Plus, our reporter Nicola Weir speaks to one Newry mother of six, for whom 2018 will be the first year of a life alcohol free. 43-year-old Martine Marron reached rock bottom last year when 25 years of casual drinking spiralled out of control.
