Cathy MacDonald presents a selection of the successful performers from the choral competitions at the 2017 Mod. The Mod took place in Lochaber for the eighth time, and the choral competitions were keenly contested with a high standard of singing for each prize.
This programme will show all the winners from each choral competition. The big prize of the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield was awarded to Dingwall Gaelic Choir and all choirs from that competition will be featured with a wide offering of songs.
The Margrat Duncan competition is also highlighted and the winners, the local choir representing Lochaber, sing both of their songs. The rural choirs are also represented with a selection from each choir who took part in the Lorn Shield and the Sherrif MacMaster Campbell Memorial Quaich.
