Over 1000 teachers here were signed off due to stress during the last school year. Figures show the amount of teachers absent due to stress has risen over the past 3 years
Over 1000 teachers in Wales were signed off because of stress-related conditions during the last school year. Figures obtained by this programme to all our local authorities, reveal that the amount of teachers absent due to stress has risen over the past threee years; the highest percentage being in Blaenau Gwent where 9% were signed off AND the lowest levels was in Cardiff where 1% was signed off.
