Mark and Stuart hear from DJ, producer, composer and neuroscientist Floating Points.

This week on Radcliffe & Maconie, it's 'Big Science' week - with special guests from the worlds of science, technology and music. To kick off the week Mark and Stuart hear from DJ, producer and composer Floating Points. As well as a background in classical music and a career in electronica, Floating Points - aka Sam Shepherd - also has a PhD in neuroscience. His debut album 'Elaenia' was released in 2015. Earlier this year, he followed up the album with Reflections - Mojave Desert, a short film and soundtrack featuring tracks recorded in the Mojave Desert. Mark and Stuart hear about 'Ratio', the latest work from the polymathic producer as well as his thoughts on the connections between science, technology and music.
