Local man so desperate to lose weight has flown to eastern Europe for life-changing surgery

Local man so desperate to lose weight has flown to eastern Europe for life-changing surgery.

You all know how Stephen struggles with his weight and he's talked about it many times on this show. He has lost stones and put them all back on again. It really is a daily battle. Well one County Antrim man has been on the same road as Stephen. But 47-year-old Paul Houston from Broughshane, just outside Ballymena, has decided enough is enough. He travelled to Lithuania to have a gastric sleeve operation. And Stephen spoke to him just before he was wheeled into surgery yesterday afternoon.

Also on the programme, 130 families have been written to this year to tell them their legacy complaints will not be proceeded with due to a lack of resources. That's what the Police Ombudsman told the 成人快手's Spotlight programme last night. Speaking to Mandy McAuley, Michael Maguire went on to say that the current system of investigating legacy cases isn't working. He says to pretend otherwise is to deceive the families of victims. Stephen spoke to Michael Maguire on the show.

Plus, drinking, noise and antisocial behaviour - residents in the Belfast's Holyland area say it is Groundhog Day with partying students starting a new term. We hear from Brid Ruddy, chair of the College Park Avenue Residents Association, and PSNI Inspector Jamie Hughes.

And, he's the man who rose to prominence as Tony Blair's chief "spin doctor" and was at the Labour prime minister's side for most of his time in No 10. Now Alastair Campbell has released the sixth volume of his diaries detailing the latter years of that relationship and his own struggle to cut his ties to government.
