Former health minister Edwin Poots denies linking homosexuality to paedophilia

A tweet by Edwin Poots at the weekend has been reported to the Assembly's commissioner for standards.

A tweet by Edwin Poots at the weekend has been reported to the Assembly's commissioner for standards. The Green Party say the tweet linked homosexuality and paedophilia. The tweet - supporting a letter by TUV MLA Jim Allister criticising Pink News for calling Prince George a 'gay icon', read: "Totally supporting Jim on this one, making children an icon of sexuality today, pedophilia (sic) tomorrow. Absolutely disgusting." The Green Party launched a petition and will deliver it to the commissioner. Stephen spoke to the party's equality spokesperson Malachi O'Hara, Conservative MP Nigel Evans, Rainbow Project's Gavin Boyd and we took your calls.

Also on the programme, controversial Bogside bonfire slammed for burning poppy wreaths and flags.

And, not perfect by any means but still a good role model - Angie Best talks to the Nolan Show about the George she knew.
