Stuart Maconie chats to Graham Gouldman of 70s pop-rock band 10cc. Born in Salford, Graham's music career began in the 1960's playing in a range of local bands - including a short stint with The Mindbenders - while writing hit songs for the Yardbirds (For Your Love), The Hollies (Bus Stop) and Herman's Hermits among others.

In 1972 he joined forces with Eric Stewart, former guitarist in The Mindbenders, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme to form 10cc. The band had huge chart success with songs - many co-written by Graham - including 'I'm Not In Love', 'Art For Art's Sake', 'Dreadlock Holiday' and 'The Things We Do for Love'.

He was also instrumental in the establishment of Stockport's famous Strawberry Studios which, over the years, played host to recording sessions by The Smiths, Joy Division, The Stone Roses and Paul McCartney as well as Graham's own band 10cc. Graham joins Stuart to reflect on his work with the band and their new career-encompassing box set collection.
