Suzi Quatro shares her 70s memories of moving to London and getting started in music.

Suzi Quatro shares her 70s memories of moving to London and getting started in music.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Suzi studied classical piano and percussion, and spent her late teens performing in an all girl band with elder sister Patti, called "The Pleasure Seekers". It was at one of their gigs that Suzi was spotted, offered a solo contract, and flown to England by producer Mickie Most in 1971. Soon after, Suzi met the now legendary songwriters Chinn and Chapman, resulting in the number 1 hit record, 'Can The Can', which went on to sell two and a half million copies worldwide. Between 1973 and 1979, Suzi Quatro featured in the British charts for no less than 109 weeks, with hits including number 1 hit single 'Devil Gate Drive', '48 Crash', 'Daytona Demon', 'Too Big', 'The Wild One', 'If You Can't Give Me Love', 'She's in Love With You', and a million seller in the USA, 'Stumblin In' a duet with Chris Norman.

Also on the show, Johnnie will delve into the 成人快手 archive to unearth what was happening this week in music in the 70s, and another classic seven-inch single will be added to Johnnie's Jukebox.
