The Best of British
The reunited Crane River Jazz Band recorded in London's 100 Club in 1972. Plus Johnny Dankworth in mid-career.
The Crane River Band was a significant contributor to the British traditional jazz scene. They reformed in 1972 and gave an exhilarating concert at the 100 Club in Oxford Street in London, with a recording of the appearance now released on CD. And Johnny Dankworth, who contributed in so many ways to British jazz, made recordings in the 1950s and early 1960s which are also now available on CD. Both are featured in this edition of Jazz Club.
