Barriers to getting active, making friends later in live and complementary cancer treatment

Are there too many barriers when it comes to getting active? How difficult is it to make friends later in life? And the woman who expresses breast milk for her father to drink.

According to a recent survey, there are too many barriers to getting active. Lack of time, a shortage of local facilities and the cost of participation were all given as reasons to Holyrood's Health and Sport Committee.

When Jill Turner's dad was told his disease had returned, she was determined to help in any way she could - and she now supplies him with her own breast milk. She believes it has cancer curing properties and so, after feeding her baby son, she expresses extra for her Dad

How difficult is it to make friends later in life?
Dr Max Blumberg, a psychologist at Goldsmiths describes making new friends as like 'a muscle you need to practice,' and that older people who have very few friends need to put in more effort. Janet Torley says she's really struggled to make friends since her husband passed away, also joined by Psychologist Ros Taylor and Jamie Morris, coordinator of Spice Scotland
