Adam Walton and guests discuss climate change at a time when it has been hitting headlines. Recently, it was announced that last year was the warmest since records began, and the new US President has expressed doubts about climate change. This week too, sees the publication of a new Ladybird book co-authored by the Prince of Wales, which aims to bring the subject to a wider audience.聽

Emeritus Professor Bryn Hubbard of Aberystwyth University, a winner of the Polar Medal, discusses his work on glaciers and the notable changes he has seen in recent decades with increased melting due to rising temperatures.

Dr Margot Saher of Bangor University is a postdoctoral research associate studying how the various aspects of the climate system such as atmospheric and oceanic circulation patterns, land and sea ice, sea level and the marine ecosystem interract. Margot is also a member of the BRITICE-CHRONO project which is mapping the ice sheets that once covered much of Britain.

Professor Ian Hall, head of the School of Earth & Ocean Sciences at Cardiff University, and member of C3W, the Climate Consortium of Wales and has studied ocean conditions during key periods of past climate change.

Professor Andrew Thomas, of Aberystwyth University, teaches a global climate change course for MSc students, which is wide ranging, and includes climate scepticism and media coverage of global warming.
