Bernd Koschland and Safet Vukalić
To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Angie is joined in the studio by Bernd Koschland and Safet Vukalić who have both survived genocide. Bernd arrived on the Kindertransport but initially struggled to embrace his faith when living with a non-Jewish family. Safet, a Bosnian Muslim was a child during the ethnic cleansing in Prijedor and watched his family be taken away to a concentration camp.
Heidi Talbot
Radio 2 Folk award nominee Heidi Talbot will perform live in the studio accompanied by her musical partner and husband John McCusker on fiddle. Her latest album ‘Here We Go, 1, 2, 3...’ features a number of musical styles from folk, through Americana, to classic pop and the title track draws inspiration from an old gospel song.
