Lauren Laverne has the nominees for the 2016 Mercury Prize, featuring music and exclusive interviews with the 12 artists on the shortlist.

Lauren brings you the nominees for this year's Mercury Prize. With announcements from 11am onwards we'll be chatting to some of the twelve artists whose albums have been shortlisted for the prestigious award, as well as showcasing the music that has got them there.

Celebrating its 25th year, previous winners have included PJ Harvey, Portishead, James Blake and last year, Benjamin Clementine. Alongside 成人快手 Music, Lauren Laverne and 6 Music will be keeping you up to date with all Mercury Prize news across radio and digital platforms right up to the award ceremony on the 15th September.
