Just occasionally,聽recording Science Caf茅 is a walk in the park. Or in this case, a walk in聽the beautiful meadows at Caeau Tan Y聽Bwlch聽on the Llyn Peninsula. To celebrate National Meadows Day, Adam Walton聽spends an idyllic afternoon聽聽in the meadows with聽Plantlife's Botanical聽Specialist Dr Trevor Dines, who聽reveals his favourite聽flowers and orchids found on the reserve聽 - and explains why meadows are聽cherished for their聽biodiversity.
Caeau Tan Y Bwlch is part of the managed Coronation Meadows scheme聽with an organised Butterfly Orchid count each year. This year, 4,499 were counted - the second highest聽number聽recorded ever! With Plantlife's聽 Keep it Wild and Road Verge Campaigns聽well underway, there's hope we can give these beautiful, rare plants a blooming chance.听听听
