Episode 1
Actress Karisma Kapoor chooses her most meaningful songs and talks about her career, the death of her friend and fellow actress Divya Bharti, and the famous kiss in Raja Hindustani.
In the first of a two-part programme to mark her 42nd birthday and 25 years since her on-screen debut, Karisma Kapoor chooses the songs that helped make her one of the 90's and early 2000's most popular actresses.
Hailing from Indian cinema's first family, the Kapoors, Karisma was the first female to break from family tradition and enter the industry in 1991 with the movie Prem Qaidi. The daughter of actor and director Randhir Kapoor and actress Babita, Karisma was an instant hit with audiences who fell for her innocent on-screen persona.
Karisma's career really took off when she teamed up with dancing machine Govinda and director David Dhawan, spawning comedy hits like Raja Babu, Coolie No1 and Hero No1.
Karisma talks about the early days of her career, how she was affected by the death of her friend and fellow actress Divya Bharti, and about THAT kiss in the movie Raja Hindustani.
Part 2 follows next week.
