Malcolm Middleton, Falkirk's saddest songwriter, live in session this evening.

Coming to prominence alongside Aidan Moffat as guitarist of glass-half-empty post rockers, Arab Strap, Malcolm Middleton has since embarked on a solo career. He has stayed true to the melancholy of his previous band's work, despite him almost scoring a Christmas number 1 in 2007 with Yuletide anthem We're All Going To Die - move over, Slade.

With his sixth solo album Summer of '13, Malcolm will doubtless be treating us to some new songs when he joins Marc in the studio.
