With the Kills live in session

Lauren Laverne has a live session from the Kills featuring tracks from their new album, Ash & Ice, plus Desert Island Disco and a Headphones Moment.

The Kills bring their visceral sound to the Live Room with tracks from their new record Ash & Ice. Due out on 3rd June on Domino, the album finds Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince in typically exuberant form. Ash & Ice is the follow up to 2011's critically lauded Blood Pressures and was five years in the making in part due to Jamie Hince's five hand surgeries, which resulted in him having to re-learn how to play guitar with a permanently damaged finger. By the sounds of the 1st single 'Doing It To Death' however, the duo are back to 100%.

As it's Friday Lauren will also be putting one listener behind the decks at the Desert Island Disco, plus we'll have a Headphones Moment and a bunch of top tunes to bring in the weekend.
