Katie Derham presents a week of concert highlights performed by the 成人快手 Philharmonic, featuring a Shakespeare-inspired work each day as part of the Shakespeare anniversary celebrations. Wednesday afternoon is a live concert from the orchestra's home in Salford. Today's programme includes a performance the 成人快手 Philharmonic gave last month in Hanley of Beethoven's second symphony, conducted by Duncan Ward, Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings and culminating with a performance of Richard Strauss' symphonic poem Macbeth.
