Llyr Williams and Calefax

Llyr Williams plays Beethoven's Piano Sonata in A flat and reed quintet Calefax play a new work by Christopher Bowman and La triomphante by Rameau.

The first in a series of four concerts from Wales features Welsh pianist Llyr Williams with Beethoven's calling card for the Eroica symphony, the so-called Funeral march sonata, and Dutch ensemble Calefax play the premiere of a new work for reed quintet by the young composer Christopher Bowman and dance music by Jean-Philippe Rameau in the atmospheric setting of Swansea National Waterfront Museum.

Recorded at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Swansea International Festival.
