Lauren welcomes London-based trio, Daughter, to the studio for live music and conversation.

Recorded in New York and Brooklyn over summer, Not to Disappear is the follow-up to Daughter's 2013 debut album, If You Leave? Set for release through 4AD in January, the new record finds the band broadening their horizons both sonically and thematically. Of the process, Elena Tonra says, "Expressing your emotions isn't a weakness but a real strength. The older I get, the more I'm saying 'this is who I am'. I go around collecting memories and feelings, and when I press record, stuff just spills." The group join us for a taste of the new album in their first session for the show since 2011.
