Lauren Laverne has a live session from Newcastle quintet Lanterns on the Lake.

Lauren welcomes Newcastle quintet, Lanterns on the Lake, to the kitchenette for live music.

Recorded in their own rehearsal room and produced by the band's guitarist, Paul Gregory, Beings is the third album from Lanterns on the Lake. Out now on Bella Union, the album sees the five-piece broaden the horizons of their already bold, atmospheric rock. Indeed, the scope of the new album is evident in plans for a hometown show accompanied by the 39-piece Royal Northern Sinfonia Orchestra, scheduled for February next year. For now, the band join us in the midst in a smaller-scale, though no less arresting, string of UK dates.
