Stephen Kovacevich made his sensational European debut at Wigmore Hall in 1961. The American-born, British-based pianist moved to London in his late teens to study with the legendary Dame Myra Hess, and soon established his reputation as an interpreter of tremendous integrity and vision.

To mark his 75th birthday, celebrated on 17 October, he crowns his recital with Schubert's inexhaustible final sonata and joins forces with Martha Argerich in two beguiling works for piano duo.
