Elaine and Marlene: Living with loss

Conor McKay introduces real-life encounters and conversations from across Northern Ireland.

Elaine and Marlene live in the fishing port of Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. Both married to fishermen, they sing in the Fisherman's Wives choir and volunteer together in their local charity shop; but they have also both lost a son. They talk about dealing with such tragic loss, and how their friendship has helped them through tough times.
