Alice Prochaska 聽is the principal of Somerville College Oxford who has spoken out about a rise in "excessively harassing and intimidating behaviour" towards female students. She tells Jane Garvey why we need to tackle such behaviour that makes female students feel uncomfortable and stop it in its tracks聽at British Universities.聽

Ireland and gay marriage

On Saturday the Republic of Ireland made history by becoming the first nation to legalize same sex marriage by popular vote. But why has the issue of same sex marriage caused less entrenched conflict than that surrounding pregnancy and termination? 聽

Jane speaks to Una Mullally, journalist for the Irish Times to ask if recent events signal a shift to greater social liberalisation in Ireland.聽
