The winter of 1920 was a tough one, with lakes frozen over. Jill and David discover that Brookfield Dairy started in 1930. The diary entries bring Dan and Doris to life. David's not throwing these away.

Jill remarks on the passing on of knowledge - Dan to Phil and Phil to David. Now David is passing it on to Pip. How exciting that they can do the same at Hadley Haugh, as Phil and Dan did at Brookfield.
