Don't Bring Me Down
Johnnie hears 70s memories from Phil May, lead singer of the Pretty Things.
Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Hot Chocolate, Hall & Oates and Harry Nilsson.
This week he's joined in conversation by Phil May, lead singer of the group The Pretty Things. After forming in 1963 they would find commercial success in the middle of that decade, but went on to release four studio albums in the seventies and continue to tour and record today. David Bowie also notably covered two of their songs on his 1973 album Pin Ups, favouring the band for their electric live performances.
Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the 成人快手 archive and another classic seven-inch single will be added into Johnnie's Jukebox.
