Pilot of the Airwaves

Johnnie Walker hears 70s memories from singer and songwriter Charlie Dore. Plus classic tracks and archive sessions from both sides of the Atlantic.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Earth, Wind & Fire, The Emotions and The Eagles.

This week he's joined by the singer, songwriter and actress Charlie Dore. Best known for her 1979 radio hit Pilot Of The Airwaves, she has also written for the likes of Celine Dion and Tina Turner. She also notably co-wrote the number one single Ain't No Doubt for Jimmy Nail. 2014 saw her release the album Milk Roulette and she continues to tour the UK.

Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the 成人快手 archive and another classic seven-inch single will be added into Johnnie's Jukebox.
