Cornish Family
Series in which families try out life overseas. Lisa wants to move to Australia, but can her husband leave a daughter behind in the UK?
Lisa and James Cornish believed running a pub could give them an idyllic life, but the reality proved to be anything but. With James now working seven days a week and Lisa doing long hours as a travelling lecturer, the couple hardly ever get time with their young sons.
Now the family are considering a more drastic lifestyle change - one which could see them move to the other side of the world. But there's just one problem - emigrating would mean James being separated from his daughter Lauryn for months at a time. And if she can't be persuaded to spend school holidays in the country, the whole move could be nothing but a dream.
The family spend a week living in Melbourne - Australia's second largest city. But will Lauryn decide the country could be home for months at a time? And can dad James come to terms with having his daughter a world away for the rest of the year?

Cornish family update
The Cornish family are currently living in the UK, but if things go to plan, they won鈥檛 be for much longer.
As soon as James and Lisa returned from their trial week in Australia they applied for a visa and started planning for the big move. Lisa returned to work in accountancy and after handing in his notice at the pub, James is also back working in his former career. With the couple both now in 9-5 jobs, they鈥檙e able to spend much more time together with their family.
The Cornish鈥檚 visa came through on Lisa's birthday, and the couple has started applying for jobs in Australia. Their plan is to move early in 2015, with or without jobs arranged.
James' daughter Lauryn is continuing to work hard at school and is looking forward to coming out to visit聽in the summer.
