Each week Don selects a piece of Crucial Vinyl - an album that has inspired him and shaped his taste in music. This week he picks pioneering German band Kraftwerk's 1977 release Trans-Europe Express.

Recorded in Dusseldorf at the band's mysterious Kling Klang studio, it was the band's sixth album. Its innovative electronic sounds were first heard when punk rock was at its peak it the UK, and went on to influence a wide range of artists from many different genres.
