Jane Garvey presents a phone-in with listeners talking about the division of labour in their homes. Who does what? And how well does it work?
How much of the cleaning, cooking and washing do you do in your home? Are you happy with the way things are or do you sometimes feel like a domestic slave? Do you clean for other households and then come home and do your own? Do you consider child care a chore? Are you a man who does more cooking, washing and ironing than your partner or are you responsible for all the DIY in the house? How well do things work in your house? How high are your standards? Do you get your children to pitch in? Have things changed over the years because of illness or other external circumstances? We want to hear your experiences.

On Monday we want to hear from you about who does what in the home.聽The Woman鈥檚 Hour Housework Survey revealed that women in Britain think they鈥檙e spending twice as much time as men on housework. Interviewees revealed how every household has its own story to tell.聽 And you, the listeners, contacted us with many insights into your homes up and down the country. It is these stories we want on the programme on Monday. What happens in your household? Has the usual pattern ever been disrupted because of illness, job loss or some other external event? When it comes to the cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing are things working well in your home? Do you share the same standards as your partner or housemates and if not, how do you avoid it becoming an issue? Do you feel like a domestic slave?聽 And if so, do you want to change things? Do you get your children to help in the home?聽 We鈥檙e interested in hearing all your stories about how you manage and negotiate chores in your home.聽聽
