Tom Robinson invites 6 Music listeners to create a playlist featuring tracks from albums released in the past 12 months that they think should have made the Mercury shortlist.

With the Mercury Prize nominations revealed this week, Tom Robinson invites 6 Music listeners to create a playlist featuring artists they reckon should have made this year's shortlist.

It's been a great year for music, but as ever less than 20 get to make the coveted '2014 Albums of the Year' list - as revealed by Radio 1's Alice Levine at a ceremony on Wednesday (10 September).

Listeners are invited to pick tracks by their favourite artists with albums out over the past 12 months that they think are missing from the nominations.

Suggestions are invited by Twitter via #Mercury6Music, posting on the show blog or the 6 Music or Now Playing Facebook pages, dragging tracks onto the show's collaborative Spotify or Rdio playlists, or the other usual live show contact methods.
