On the Road 2014 is a new entertaining magazine show. Presented by Fred MacAuley and Martel Maxwell plus guests, it's a showcase of events and activities happening in Scotland. From festivals to stand-up comedy, performances in unusual places, music and much more.
The first of the series includes Fred MacAuley joined by golfer Sandy Lyle for exclusive access to the preparations for the Ryder Cup, Martel Maxwell at the TweedLove Bike festival learning to take action photos, actor David Hayman is in Greenock discovering an extraordinary event at the Sugar Sheds. Other items include comedian Ed Byrne enjoying clay pigeon shooting, Radio 1 DJ Ally McCrae in Thurso for his take on some modern art and choirs in Langholm learning a song Phil Cunningham has helped compose.
