Andy Votel explores the dark side of the moog as 6 Music celebrates electronica. Robert Moog, inventor of the iconic analogue synthesiser would have turned 80 this week. The Moog series of instruments were the first synthetic sounds to have an organic, rich tone and were championed by a range of experimental and forward thinking musicians such as Sun Ra, Wendy Carlos and Tangerine Dream.
