Naseeruddin Shah

An academic says pupils should call their teachers by their first name - is that disrespectful? Actor Naseeruddin Shah joins Nihal to talk about his new show at the Southbank.

A professor of English and linguistics has said that using terms such as "sir" or "miss" to address a teacher are outdated and sexist towards women. Jennifer Coates has said pupils should call their teachers by their first name. Is this a good idea? Or does it just breed over familiarity?

From 11, fitness guru Kapil Lakhani will join Nihal in the studio to give you the best advice on getting fit and staying healthy. If you have any questions for him, get in touch with the show.

After 12, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, star of films like 'Krish' , 'Ishqiya' and 'Monsoon Wedding' will be talking to Nihal. He's currently in London reciting poetry from "Vikram Seth's Beastly Tales" on stage at the Southbank centre.
