1994 Special

Huey celebrates the year 1994, the end of the golden age of hip hop, by playing tracks from that year and archive recordings underlining its significance.

Huey celebrates one of the most seminal years in music history, 1994 the final year of the golden age of hip hop.

1994 was a monumental year in music, and it was 20 years ago! 94 was the year Kurt Cobain and Bill Hicks died, the year Notorious B.I.G, Fugees and Nas made their breakthroughs, and the year that Woodstock turned 25.

Huey will be playing only tracks released in 1994, and unearthing archive recordings that demonstrate just what a significant year 1994 was.

The start of the weekend is in the safest possible hands, and that's a fact, Jack.
