New research suggests the idea of the 'guilty' working mother is a myth. Louise White asks whether you feel guilty as a working mother.
TOPIC 1: DRUGS IN THE UK
As another teenager dies of suspected drug use, the latest Global Drug Survey has revealed that the UK citizens come out as some of the largest drug takers in the world, taking a broader range of drugs that are reasonably cheap. The survey which was taken by 78,820 people - 7326 of them from the UK - also revealed that almost a third of drug users aged between 18 and 24 admitted taking a "mystery white powder?" .
Louise asks: Why is the UK among the worst countries in the world for drug taking?
TOPIC 2: WORKING MUMS
New research by parenting website, Mumsnet, has suggested that the idea that working mothers feel guilty about not staying at home to look after their children is a myth. Only 13% of working mothers said they felt guilty about spending time away from their children. It comes a week after Mary Bousted, general secretary of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, warned Britain was in danger of "institutionalising" infants by forcing them into full-time childcare at an increasingly young age. The comments were made as the Government made renewed calls for nurseries to open for up to 10 hours a day to provide high-quality early education and allow parents to hold down a full-time job.
Louise asks: Do you feel guilty as a working mum?
