Jimi Goodwin

Marc has a live session from one of Manchester's greatest (and nicest) sons, Jimi Goodwin.

Marc gives a warm welcome to one of Manchester's greatest (and nicest) sons Mr Jimi Goodwin, live in session.

Jimi is of course best known as the lead singer of Doves. After four albums (two of them Mercury nominated) the band decided they needed a break and so began Jimi's solo career. You'll have heard his first single "Oh Whiskey" all over 6 Music, he played the 成人快手 6 Music Festival and now he's doing a session for Marc.

Jimi's debut solo album "Odudek" is out at the end of March (Odludek is a Polish word meaning loner or pilgrim - but you knew that) and features a collaboration with old friend Guy Garvey . He's also supporting Elbow on their UK tour dates. Jimi has previously been a guest presenter Guy Garvey's Finest Hour, terrifying the listeners with some very scary hip hop.
