Series in which British families experience a trial week living in Australia or New Zealand. A joiner loved Australia when travelling, can he now persuade his wife to move there?
While travelling ten years ago, Dave Howe fell in love with Australia and his wife Laurra's been living with his obsession ever since they met. Dave's convinced the country is the best place for his young family to grow up, but Laurra's terrified at the thought of moving so far from everyone she loves.
Will a trial week living on Australia's Gold Coast help persuade Laurra a move's worth sacrificing close family ties for? And will the reality of life in Australia live up to Dave's distant memories?

Howe family update
After returning from Australia, Laurra changed her mind on a move, and decided that emigrating to Australia could be right for her family. She and Dave put their house on the market and moved into a rented property. Unfortunately, in December 2013, the sale of their home fell through at the last minute. The couple have since decided to rent out their house, with a view to making the move to Australia later in 2014.
