Liz chats to musician, writer and renowned pundit John Robb, whose band Goldblade are releasing a Christmas single with the late Poly Styrene.
John formed punk act The Membranes in 1977, who released several albums into the 80s. They split up in 1990 and in 1994 he formed Goldblade. They've released 9 albums to date, the most recent The Terror Of Modern Life, came out in May this year.
He is a well respected writer, and his books books include a biography of The Stone Roses, Punk Rock An Oral History, Death To Trad Rock, an account of the 1980s UK DIY underground, and The North Will Rise Again - Manchester Music City from 1976 to 1996.
