Richard Curtis talks about his new film About Time, plus movie critics Pasquale Iannone, Paul Gallagher and Nigel Floyd review four of the week's biggest cinema releases.
Today in The Culture Studio it's movie day and four brilliant films are up for review. We head to Rome, for Italian director Paulo Sorrentino's new film The Great Beauty and look back at an Italian classic Purple Noon (1960) which has recently been restored and is back on the big screen. Critics Paul Gallagher and Nigel Floyd give their verdict on Ain't Them Bodies Saints starring Casey Affleck and Mara Rooney before we suspend disbelief in Richard Curtis' latest offering About Time, which combines romance and time travel! We hear from Richard Curtis himself when Janice grills him about the practicalities of time travel. Plus, we catch up with The Travelling Gallery as it begins its' Autumn tour and find out about the David Greig play which is making a stir at Dundee Rep - actress Elspeth Brodie manages to play three different women called Victoria and we want to find out how she does it.
