Cardiff Science Festival

The second Cardiff Science Festival is underway, and this week Adam Walton gives us a taster of some of the events on offer. We hear from Rhys Phillips, who co-ordinates the events programme for the festival. He's also hosting the IET Engineers' Question Time at the Senedd, a chance to听put questions to听guests from industry, academia and government.

Comedy and science will collide at the festival with a "Sci-Comedy Experiment" - a night of comedy-science improv with the team from Science Made Simple. Becky Holmes & Zoe Randall give us a preview.

There's more comedy with Timandra Harkness who presents a show called "Brainsex". Can neuroscience explain why Timandra throws like a girl but thinks like a bloke?

We explore gravity with Brian Clegg, whose event at the festival explores this, the weakest of the four forces in nature, but one that is crucial to the formation of听stars and planets, as well听as keeping us firmly on the ground.听

The festival has several events for children including "Albie The Adventurer" at the National Museum Wales. The show explores the world of the dinosaurs and the sounds they make.
