With Lloyd Cole

Liz chats to Lloyd Cole about his new studio album Standards, a return to the classic rock 'n' roll sound of his band's debut record, Rattlesnakes.

Liz chats to Lloyd Cole, who's just released his new studio album Standards, a return to the classic rock 'n' roll sound of his bands debut Rattlesnakes from almost 30 years ago.
He broke through in 1984 as the frontman of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, and enjoyed success with the 3 albums they released before they disbanded in 1989. Lloyd then relocated to New York to record with various artists, including Fred Maher and Matthew Sweet. Standards is his 11th solo studio album, the last couple of which have been part funded by fans.
Liz also gives listeners the chance to show-off their musical knowledge with themed tune suggestions, and chats to a listener about their favourite album in All Killer No Filler, which this week comes from Faith No More.
