Janice hears about a brand new Radio Scotland series - 'A Scot's History of British-ness' presented by Richard Holloway

'Mary, Queen of Scots' is a brand new exhibition which opens at the National Museum of Scotland today. Susan Morrison has a bit of a bee in her bonnet about Mary, Queen of Scots and she goes as far as to say she hates the monarch but David Forsyth curator of the exhibition has a very different view. Hold onto your hats folks it could be a bumpy ride!

Peter Stothard, editor of the TLS and former editor of The Times tells Janice about his life-long fascination with Cleopatra and his desire to write a book about her. After seven failed attempts, it seems a three week unexpected holiday in the city of Alexandria did the trick and now the book 'Alexandria: The Last Nights of Cleopatra' has been published. Peter drops by to talk about the book.

And 80's legend Lloyd Cole talks to Janice about his life and solo career and plays two live tracks for us including the classic 'Perfect Skin'.
