A Scandinavian music special in honour of Stuart's recent visit to Oslo, and the by:Larm festival. Get ready for some Scandi-jazz from Jan Garbarek's Officium album and a next generation piano-trio called Splashgirl. Plus a healthy dose of symphonic and black metal, some off-kilter Norwegian pop and Swedish songwriters.

Plus Stuart pays tribute to Kevin Ayers who passed away this week. A founding member of The Soft Machine, Ayers has been a revered musician working at the fore of alternative British music all his life.
